Two Knoch Middle School teams won 2nd and 3rd place at the 2021 English Festival in the Grades 7-9 division. Normally the competition is held at Seton LaSalle High School, but due to COVID it was held virtually this year.
Since this year was the first-ever virtual event, the English Festival Committee planned to only present books as winning prizes since the costs to run the event were unknown. However, due to wonderful participation by teachers and students, as well as discounted rates for the best-selling featured authors, WPCTE is able to offer cash prizes in addition to the books to winning teams for the 2021 English Festival. Each winning team will receive a check equivalent to the points earned. The goal is that the prize money is shared among the team members. Book prizes, checks, and certificates will be presented at the English Festival Brunch in the fall (pending covid guidelines). Details concerning this event will be emailed out in the fall.
Both of our teams will receive approximately $100 to divide among the members! Congratulations to the following students!
