Knoch Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2017
 
 
The Knoch Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2017, inducted on September 8, 2017, is another noteworthy group of athletes who have continued to utilize their talents long after leaving Knoch's halls.
 
First is Dale Mahan.  Dale was a teacher and coach at Knoch, serving for 25 years as head track and field coach during a period that produced 7 undefeated seasons, 4 Section Championships, and 4 WPIAL Individual Track and Field Champions.  Accepting Dale Mahan's trophy was his son, Jim Mahan.
 
The Second inductee is Stan Crouch.  Stan is a member of Knoch's Class of 1978.  He was a Tri-captain for Football and Track & Field his senior year.  He was named 1st Team Football All Conference and had a Big 33 Nomination.  In 1978 he took 3rd place in discus in WPIAL and 4th place in PIAA, and he set the school record in the shot put and discus.  
 
Laurie Zendron Tresky is a member of Knoch's Class of 1982.  While at Knoch Laurie earned 6 letters in volleyball, basketball, and track & field.  She was a member of the 1981 Section Championship Volleyball team.  She was a record holder in the 1600 m and 3200 m relays.  Laurie was awarded the U.S. Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete Award in 1982.
 
Robert Voltz is a member of Knoch Class of 1991.  Rob was a 4 year letter winner in golf while at Knoch.  He earned the title of Tri State PGA Junior Champion in 1987 and lead his team to the WPIAL Team Golf Championship in 1990 after an undefeated season.  He was selected to the Golf Coaches Association of America District 2 Team. Rob is presently the Knoch High School Golf Coach.
 
Amy McCall-Mirialakis, a member of the Knoch Class of 1995, was a 3 sport letter winner in volleyball, track  & field, and basketball.  She was team Captain for basketball and track & field.  Amy was a WPIAL Champion in the 100 m hurdles in 1995 and was named to the 1994 Butler Eagle Volleyball All Star Team.
 
Hope McCorkle is the 6th inductee for 2017.  Hope is a member of the Class of 1994.  She earned a 1993 All State Volleyball Selection, and 1994 United States Marine Corp.  Distinguished Athlete Award.  She was the 1996 and 1997 Patriot League Shot Put Champion and in 1997 was the Penn Relays Bronze Medalist for shot put.
