Substitute Information

The Knoch School District has partnered with ESS to provide for day-to-day substitute teachers, secretaries, and paraprofessionals throughout the District. 

Minimum Requirements:

PA state clearances, Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training, and TB test results  

After an individual applies to work as a substitute at Knoch, ESS provides an on-campus orientation in order to guide applicants through the process of applying for clearances, training information, and completing required paperwork in order for applicants to work as substitutes.  These orientations are scheduled as needed.

Teachers - Day-to-Day Subs: $105/day

Committed Building Subs:  $135/day

Emergency Substitute Certificate Program training is available through ESS. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.  Training is partly online and partly completed on the Knoch campus.  Completing the training through ESS certifies you to substitute in any Knoch school.

Emergency Day-to-Day Substitute Permit Program Available at MIU IV 

Midwestern Intermediate Unit (MIU) IV in Grove City is offering a program for individuals interested in obtaining an Emergency Day-to-Day Substitute Permit.
