Claire Patterson, grade 6, was notified by Appelley Publishing, that her poem, "The Color of Your Eyes" will be published in their 2023 Rising Stars Collection. Claire entered the Appelley Publishing National Poetry Contest through her Discovering LIterature course. Claire's poem not only will be published, but her poem is also entered into the national contest. She has a chance to win $500 if her poem is chosen in the grades 6-8 category. Winners will be announced on April 7, 2023.
