Operation School Readiness Presents Donation

Dr. David Foley, Knoch School District Superintendent, and Mr. Pat Sarnese, Knoch Safety Director, were recently presented with 10 Stop the Bleed kits.  The kits were donated by Mr. Jack Ripper, a member of the Knoch School Police force, and Mr. Mike Dunlap of Operation School Readiness.  According to Operation School Readiness's website, they are a nonprofit organization that provides critical bleeding control kits to schools, at no cost when possible. Medical equipment such as tourniquets, chest seals, gauze, and trauma dressing, when utilized properly, have been proven to increase a victim’s chance of survival after a traumatic event. The kits donated to the Knoch School District will be distributed across the campus.

The District is truly appreciative of this important, potentially life-saving donation.
