The Conservation Club of KHS went on a field trip to Jennings Environmental Center on Friday, February 24, 2023, for a Maple Math and Sugaring Science Experience. The students learned how to identify a maple tree, how to determine when a maple tree is ready for tapping, and how the process of producing maple syrup has changed through the centuries. In the end, they were able to sample real maple syrup that was right in front of them that day!
