Several Knoch High School and Butler Area Vocational Technical School students recently medaled in the SkillsUSA District 10 Competition. Shiane Chalkley, who studies Graphic Design at BCAVTS, and Bennett Shaw, who studies AC/Heating/Electrical Occ. at BCAVTS worked as a team to earn gold. Hailey Liebler also won gold for her prepared speech. Shiane and Bennett went on to take first place at states, so they will be headed to Atlanta, GA in June fo the national competition.
Additionally, Sydney Gilliland won silver for her pin design, and Parker Anderson, who studies welding, took bronze for his project.
