The Knoch Jazz Band, under the direction of Mr. Ricardo Hayden, was invited to open for the Slippery Rock University Jazz Band on November 5th.
Knoch senior Marina Smith has been filling in on bass with the Slippery Rock Jazz Band for the fall semester and had the privilege to perform with them and special guest Benny Benack III, a professional jazz trumpeter, vocalist, and composer, on November 5th at Slippery Rock and the 6th at MCG Jazz in Pittsburgh.
